How we collect, use and protect your personal information.
Last updated: 9 October 2026
Your privacy matters to us. This notice explains what personal information we collect, why, and what your choices are.
1. Who we are
MmEx Express Limited ("MmEx", "we", "us") is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. You can reach us at [email protected].
2. What information we collect
What we collect depends on what you do on our website:
Tracking: the tracking IDs you enter.
Contact form: your name, email, phone number, topic, tracking ID (if you give one) and your message.
Custom quote: your contact details, pick-up and delivery locations, a description of the goods, weight, size, value and ship date.
Brand partnership enquiry: your company name, your name, email, phone, country and message.
Delivery changes and tracking alerts: the tracking ID, your contact details, the change you ask for (such as a new date, address or instructions) and your phone number for alerts.
Live chat: your messages, and your name and email if you ask to speak to a person. We also record the page you were on.
Your account and shipments: the details you give when you sign up and when you book a shipment, including sender and receiver details.
Payment information: payments are handled by our payment provider, Flutterwave. Card details are entered in their secure window and are never seen or stored by us; we keep only the payment status, amount, method and the last four digits of the card.
Technical and security information: such as your IP address, approximate country, browser and device, which we use to protect your account (for example to warn you of a sign-in from a new device).
Messages: what you send through our contact form, support requests and chat.
3. How we use it
to provide shipping services, track shipments and deliver them;
to reply to your questions, quote requests and enquiries;
to send you updates about your shipments, if you ask for them;
to keep our website and services safe, and to prevent fraud and misuse;
to improve our website and services;
to meet our legal duties, such as customs and tax rules.
4. Why we are allowed to use it
We use personal information to carry out our contract with you, to meet our legal duties, for our legitimate interests (such as keeping the service secure), and, where the law requires it, with your consent. We handle personal information in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018. Because we serve customers around the world, we also respect the data protection laws that apply to you where you live, such as the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and the EU GDPR.
5. Who we share it with
We share information only when we need to:
with carriers, airlines, shipping lines, customs authorities and delivery partners, so that your shipment can travel and be delivered;
with companies that help us run our services, such as hosting, email, messaging and payment providers;
with the authorities, when the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal information.
6. Sending information to other countries
Because we ship worldwide, your information may be sent to other countries, for example to the country where your shipment is delivered. We take reasonable steps to protect it when this happens.
7. How long we keep it
We keep information only as long as we need it for the reasons above. In general: shipment, payment and receipt records are kept for 7 years, because tax and customs rules require it; account details are kept while your account is open and for up to 12 months after it is closed; contact and support messages, including chat, are kept for 24 months; and security logs (such as sign-in alerts) are kept for 12 months. After that we delete the information or make it anonymous.
8. Your rights
You can ask us to:
tell you what information we hold about you, and give you a copy;
correct information that is wrong;
delete your information, where the law allows;
stop using your information for certain purposes, or limit how we use it;
stop sending you messages.
To use these rights, write to us at the email address above. If you are unhappy with how we handled your information, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
9. Cookies and browser storage
Our website saves a small amount of information in your browser, for example to remember your cookie choice and to keep your live chat going between pages. You can see exactly what is saved, and change your choices, on our Cookie Settings page.
10. Keeping information safe
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No system is completely secure, so please do not send passwords, PINs or card details in chat or in any message.
11. Children
Our services are not meant for children. You must be at least 18 to create an account or book a shipment. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has given us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
